Hope you are aware that this branch centre of Ramakrishna Mission (P.O. Belur Math, Dist. Howrah, West Bengal - 711 202) at Manasadwip in the Sagar Island of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal,is relentlessly serving the poor villagers in the fields of education, healthcare and social welfare since its inception in 1928. The Ashrama is located quite close to the holy shrine of Kapil Muni. This place is famous for the annual sacred bath at the confluence of the River Ganga on Makar Sankranti which draws thousands of pilgrims from all over the country. It is also said to have been visited by noted saints like Adi Sankaracharya, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srimat Tota Puri, the preceptor of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna. You are welcome to visit this Ashrama situated in such a holy land.
