Students’ Home (Hostel)

One monastic member is in-charge of the management of the hostel. In addition, two hostel wardens have been engaged to look after the wellbeing of hostel boys. The hostel provides accommodation for 70 boys. Out of them 31 boys belong to schedule caste. Students between classes V and IX are admitted to the hostel on the basis of an admission test usually held in the 1st week of December every year. Application forms for admission test are available in the school from the 1st week of October. After publication of results of the admission test, forms for hostel accommodation are issued from the School office.

Library Service

1) Ashrama Library: The Ashrama has a small library with the facility of a free reading room. The library is equipped with 1509 books mainly on religious matter, biography, traveling and literature in general. Three daily newspapers and 6 periodicals are made available here. About twenty regular readers visit the library every day. 

2) School Library:  The Madhyamik School has also its own library having 4536 books on different subjects suitable for students mainly. Five periodicals and two daily newspapers, one in Bengali and other in English are available in the school library. The books are issued to the students on borrowing basis every day after the school hours. An assistant teacher of the school is in-charge of the library. New books are regularly purchased to cater to the growing needs of the teachers and the students.

Award of Swami Vivekananda SREI Merit Scholarship in memory of Kedarnath Bhagirathi Kanoria

With the financial help of SREI Foundation, 216, AJC Bose Road, 2nd Floor, Flat – 2C, Kolkata-700017 we have distributed the Swami Vivekananda SREI Merit Scholarship in memory of Kedarnath Bhagirathi Kanoria Scholarship to the poor and needy meritorious ten selected students for their Higher studies per month Rs.300/- last several years.
